# Game Overview
Ponsians is a Play-to-Earn game focused on resource gathering, player contribution, and market-based rewards. The game is designed around a simple core loop that is easy to understand, while its economy and reward system add depth for players who want to optimize their strategy over time.
Players control a character that explores the world, enters a mine, and gathers resources such as Gold, Silver, and Bronze. These resources have no direct value on their own — their purpose is to be sold on the in-game Market, where they are converted into points. Points represent a player’s contribution to the economy during a specific market window.
The Market operates on fixed time windows. During each window, players decide when and how much to sell, competing and cooperating indirectly with other players. At the end of a window, a portion of the $PONX token pool is distributed among all participants based on their points, with a hard cap on the maximum share a single player can receive. This system encourages active participation while preventing excessive concentration of rewards.
Progression in Ponsians is driven by upgrades. By improving movement speed, mining efficiency, backpack capacity, and combat-related stats, players can mine more effectively and participate in the market more competitively. All upgrades require in-game resources, creating a natural link between gameplay progression and the economy.
The game is built on Robinhood L2, allowing fast and low-cost reward distribution while keeping the gameplay smooth and accessible. While blockchain mechanics power the reward system, the core experience remains focused on gameplay first, with Web3 elements integrated in a simple and transparent way.
