# Referrals

Ponsians includes a referral system designed to reward players who help grow the game and actively invite new participants.

Each player will have a personal referral link. When a new player joins the game using this link, they become your referral and are permanently linked to your account.

### Season 1: Referral Reward Pool

During Season 1 (Mining Season), the referral system is based on a separate $PONX reward pool.

* A dedicated $PONX referral pool will be created.
* After Season 1 ends, this pool will be distributed among players based on referral results.
* The exact distribution logic will depend on referral activity and will be announced before Season 1 concludes.

This approach allows early supporters to benefit from helping the project grow during its initial phase.

### Future Seasons: Passive Referral Rewards

Starting from Season 2, the referral system will expand and become ongoing:

* Referrals will generate 5% of the $PONX earned in-game by the referred player.
* This reward comes from the system and does not reduce the referred player’s earnings.
* Referral rewards are credited automatically alongside regular $PONX earnings.

This creates a long-term incentive to invite active players rather than short-term farming.

### Long-term Vision

The referral system is designed to evolve with the game. While Season 1 focuses on shared rewards through a pool, future Seasons aim to provide sustainable, performance-based referral income tied directly to gameplay activity.

Referral mechanics, limits, and visibility may be adjusted over time to maintain balance and fairness within the Ponsians economy.
